Since 2007, more than 13,000 church congregations stood up for the unborn and prayed for all those affected by abortion. Over 3,600 babies were saved, thousands of women and men were counseled, and over 400,000 pro-life advocates participated nationwide...
Over 300 cities in 50 states have participated in a nationwide 40 Days for Life, including New York, Chicago, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Nashville, and even Hilo, Hawaii! Now even more communities will participate in their own 40 Days for Life campaign.
The nation will be watching Bryan-College Station as the Coalition for Life joins America to hold another 40 Days for Life. Your time and prayers will be needed for an inspiring campaign to end abortion in the Brazos Valley!

What you can do between now and the fall campaign?- Pray for all considering abortion and all Planned Parenthood workers to ask God to change hearts and minds.
- Sign-up for our regular Stand & Pray ministry until 40 Days for Life begins.
- Make a commitment to Christ this fall to go beyond your comfort zone and take an hour or 2 per week to pray at the local abortion facility during the Aggieland 40 Days for Life.
- Start spreading the word! The Coalition has met with many pastors in town but not everyone. Encourage friends, co-workers, and church members to be a part of this campaign.
40 Days of Prayer
Prayer is at the center of 40 Days for Life. Abortion has many victims and calls Christians to prayer and action. During 40 Days for Life individuals, churches, and groups join together to pray for an end to abortion. This campaign prays for the women who have the abortion, others involved in the decision, the babies who lose their life, and the workers at Planned Parenthood. Each day, Christians are asked to pray for a specific request so that the entire Body of Christ can join together around the common goal of defending the least of our brethren through prayer. 40 Days of Fasting
Throughout scripture God calls His faithful to fast with a contrite spirit. Christians are encouraged to fast during the 40 days on any level they feel comfortable. During 40 Days for Life we have a great opportunity to imitate Christ’s example of fasting. We have seen a wide range of fasting commitments from giving up a favorite desert to individuals living off bread and water for the entire 40 day period. The Coalition for Life has consulted a local dietician and can provide specific fasting options for your personal fast.
40 Days of Vigil
For 40 days, Christians from across the Brazos Valley will be holding a peaceful prayer vigil outside of the Planned Parenthood abortion facility on East 29th Street in Bryan. The 40 day vigil brings prayer and hope to the place it is needed the most and gives witness that Christ is there for the least of our brethren.
The 40 Days for Life campaign is designed to raise awareness about the abortion facility through prayer and awareness. The prayer presence includes volunteers and a “Shift Leader” praying and holding pro-life signs (BVCL does not use images of aborted babies). During many of the hours Sidewalk Counselors lovingly offer free medical alternatives and information to women entering the clinic. The “Shift Leader” keeps track of the 40 day prayer schedule and serves as the contact person if anyone is unavailable for their hour or wants to take on additional hours.
