The Coalition for Life presents beingHUMAN, a powerful thirty minute program that explores pro-life activism. This exciting documentary style series gives witness to everyday people who are working to give a voice to the unborn.
Hosted by Shawn Carney, Executive Director of the Coalition for Life, beingHUMAN reaches out to the thousands of individuals who stand up for life peacefully and prayerfully. This inspiring program takes an honest approach that will touch hearts, change minds, and encourage the viewer to faithfully work to end the injustice of abortion.
EPISODE I
Being HUMAN: 40 Days for Life
The first episode, Being HUMAN: 40 Days for Life, is a call to action for the National 40 Days for Life that will occur again this fall across the country from city to city.
In the Fall of 2007 and spring of 2008, communities took their faith to the streets to bring Christ's love to the sidewalks of abortion clinics for 40 days of prayer and fasting. National leaders, media outlets, and grassroots organizations strategically organized for these massive events, in which hundreds of thousands of volunteers reached out and touched the hearts of thousands of mothers and fathers, and hundreds of babies were saved.
To date, 144 cities in 44 states have held a 40 Days for Life campaign. The next 40 Days for Life campaign will take place from September 24 - November 2, 2008, and promises to continue with the successes seen in God's faithfulness in the first two campaigns. One national leader stated, “This campaign could accomplish more in 40 days than one entire decade since Roe vs. Wade.”
This national campaign will continue to be one of the most powerful pro-life efforts in American history. 40 Days for Life gives hope to communities who feel helpless on this issue and inspires them to rely on Christ to impact our culture, save lives, and change hearts in their community.
EPISODE II
Being HUMAN: 40 Days for Life II
Episode II highlights the results of the national 40 Days for Life campaigns which have happened in 144 cities in 44 states including England, Ireland, Brazil and Peru. The show interviews local and national leaders and volunteers who were involved in making this local campaign one of the largest pro-life mobilizations in history.
40 Days for Life began as a small campaign that started at the Coalition for Life in Bryan/College Station, Texas in 2004. Now, this powerful campaign has mobilized over 150,000 volunteers, saved hundreds of lives, and helped abortion clinic workers leave their jobs.
This episode looks at how thousands of people are uniting to bring prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil to where hope is being lost, abortion clinics. The viewere is challenged and inspired by the stories and optimism from the frontlines of this growing campaign.
